I have found that it is more rare to hav a 1 eyed Red Eared Slider then a no eye Red Eared Slider I don’t know why but that is what information has told me. I will let you know I didnt intend on buying Lucky Lindy (that is her name) with 1 eye. I simply asked my mom while she was at Petsmart, to buy me a future mate for my male RES Bowser so she did and she called and asked how to tell the difference so I said Females have thinner tales and males have thicker. anyway she brought her home. I then took her out and put her in the tank (unexamined), then went upstairs finished my food chain science project and went downstairs to examine her, I noticed she only had one eye. I was truely amazed, So I showed my dad he said we should take her back and to call Petsmart tommorrow but I think it is cool, So what do you guys and Gals think, should I keep her or take her back???
Providing a wide variety of foods is the key to success with captive RES.
