Well I add yet another blood to the collection! This makes number three. he is six months, a black blood (P. curtus) just got him last Saturday and very much in love already! Sorry for the crappy cell phone shots…

They do not actively hunt; rather, they lie in wait for rodents and other small mammals to wander by.

This is “Ginger” a red phase blood python (Python brongersmai) female, during ovulation. She’ll be laying eggs approximately 45 days from now, so my fingers are CROSSED!!

These are known to be more aggressive than those from Indonesia Sumatra, from which most of the wild-caught, wild-bred, and captive-bred stock are now descended.
