“Tiny” the Eastern Box Turtle eating eggs Videos

This young Eastern Box Turtle was chewed on by a predator and it almost died from the attack. It lost a large portion of its shell including the bridge on it’s left side and has many holes and scars but amazingly it acts as if it is normal–aren’t turtles amazing! I am treating its wounds with a special antibiotic and will possibly place a shell patch over the wound to protect it from infection. Due to the severity of her injuries Tiny will have to become a permanant resident at our Box Turtle facility. If she was released into the wild a predator would have no trouble at all making a meal out of her.
