Fatty, the young Nile crocodile at Pete’s Pond in Botswana, tries a sneak attack on the warthogs at their wallow. The warthogs are not fooled, nor are the cattle egrets, Fatty’s groupies, who follow him everywhere and observe his every move. This drama was observed on National Geographic’s WildCam Africa.

Like birds, they have gizzards and a four-chambered heart.
