The Komodo is the largest living species of lizard & can grow to up to 10 ft. Sense of hearing is not particularly acute. Able to see in color but have poor visual discrimination of stationary objects, as well as poor night vision. Found exclusively in Indonesia. Excellent swimmers & can climb trees.

After eating up to 80 percent of its body weight in one meal, it drags itself to a sunny location to speed digestion, as the food could rot and poison the dragon if left undigested for too long.
