I finally got on board with the BCC’s and picked up a TRUE RED TAIL BOA from Surinam. She is a wild-caught boa that I traded for… I had just picked up a Hypo Hogg boa and was going to try for some sunset boas (Hypo Hogg x Hypo Hogg) but was feeling a bit bad as they are really a ‘mut’ breed. As soon as I saw this girl, I realized it was time to get on the BCC boat! B.C.C. is the abbreviation for Boa Constrictor Constrictor, which is the Genus/species/subspecies of the TRUE RED TAILS… doesn’t get much prettier

and please comment with suggestions for a name… I want to use something about her coloration or locality, so please help me brainstorm! thanks and enjoy!

Mainland specimens from Colombia can be among the larger boas, but this subspecies also includes a number of dwarf insular populations, such as those from various Caribbean islands and the Sonoran desert of Mexico.
